A nice clean and tidy bead plane made by H B Rowan

The plane is just over 9-14" long x 3-1/4" high x 1-1/8" thick

The peg is 6" long x 1/4" thick.

The iron is 6-3/4" long.

The cutting edge is 5/8" Wide.

The wood has had a wipe with a very fine wire wool that was dipped in a good wax, the surface of the wood was then buffed on a large polishing machine.

The peg had to have a light sanding on some 400g paper, the peg was very firmly pinched into the main body of the plane.

The peg was then waxed and buffed.

The peg did have some damage which was sanded smooth, in the photos you will see a crack in the wood on the peg.

The iron is pretty straight, the iron was buffed with a wire wheel then finnished off on a buffing wheel and a good quality polishing compound.

The insert that runs the length of the tool is in a good condition, it looks to be firmly fitted in place.

The iron will probably need a Sharpening.
