Silvertone 712 Aristocrat 1940's
Description
This is an acoustic archtop from the American mail order brand "Silvertone," which produced many models from the 1950s to the 1960s, along with Harmony and Kei. It was produced between 1946 and 1950. A 17-inch archtop guitar manufactured by Kay. Pressed spruce top, maple sides and back, maple neck, Jacaranda fingerboard, boater fret marker fingerboard inlay, original Jacaranda adjustable bridge, Kluson pegs, and tailpiece have had some damaged parts welded and repaired. The scale is long at 654mm. Although the neck does not have a truss rod, there is no major warping, and there is no problem in using it as there is only a slight warping. There are some peeling adhesive repair marks on the back wing of the head. There is no pickguard, and two screw holes remain on the side. The cell binding at the end of the fingerboard has come off and is missing. The neck is thin with a nut width of 42mm, and has a thick and solid grip. It's crisp and crisp and has plenty of volume. It's bluesy, or wild, or a tasteful American sound that's both good and bad. It has a nice punchy, uncool look that gives you a feel of this era. Universal hard case included
