This is an old gorgeous Braided basket in silver metal. I believe it is from the 19th century. It was from an estate sale that only had items from the 17th to 19th century- French/ Italian.

It is stamped on the bottom with a hallmark and the number 23 or 25 i can’t exactly make it out

It is heavy.

It is approximately 12 inches wide, including the handles, and 7 1/4 inches deep and 3 1/4 inches tall(4 3/4 inches tall, including the handles)
