Vintage Magnetic Plastic Saint Christopher Statue Automobile Dash Travel Icon 4"

This listing is for a vintage Catholic small plastic figure of St. Christopher the patron saint of travelers. It features a molded plastic figural form of Saint Christopher holding the infant Jesus on his left shoulder while holding a long staff in his right hand with his feet in what I am assuming is water. The icon was manufactured in Italy and includes an attached base with a magnet inside which would have held the figure in place on the metal dash of a vintage car or truck manufactured when dashes were finished metal rather than plastic/fabric wrapped (or any metal surface that will hold a magnet). It is what I would call novelty quality and does have wear so please read complete details below and review photos closely for condition. ITEM DETAILS:

  • Approximate weight is .6 ozs
  • Measures approximately 1.125" x 1.25" x 4"
  • Condition: In vintage pre-owned used condition with wear including it being "novelty" quality, paint voids, paint drips, paint runs, yellowing of the white plastic, visible glue/adhesive, a manufacturing flaw/blemish on the lower back side of the figure's base that looks like a melted spot, visible seams, plastic mold debris that wasn't trimmed during the manufacturing process as shown on the side of the green robe, chips and paint voids on the raised surfaces/corners/edges and details such as the faces/hands/top of heads, unevenly painted surface details (the artist didn't stay in the lines and overlapped colors), dirt, dust, grime, fading, thinly applied paint, missing areas of blue paint, loose fibers/lent stuck to the adhesive sticker back, dulling, scratches, abrasions, stains, scuffing, tarnish, discoloring, the magnet still holds to metal surfaces, fading and overall wear from age and handling.   • Marks: Bottom of the brown base is marked MADE IN ITALY (3 of the 4 corners each include a word) and the back edge of the figure is marked MADE IN ITALY. The paper sticker on bottom reads WHEN APPLIED ON NON-MAGNETIC SURFACE PLEASE REMOVE THIS PROTECTIVE LABEL.
