This is the top case with keyboard ONLY. Battery and trackpad are NOT included. You will need to transfer your existing battery and trackpad from your current top case, or purchase them separately. This is ideal for buyers who have a working battery and trackpad but need a new palm rest and keyboard due to cosmetic damage or key failure.

⚠ Touch ID Pairing Notice

The Touch ID sensor on this top case is paired to its original logic board. Touch ID fingerprint authentication will NOT work when installed in a different MacBook. The power button will still function normally for power on and off. All keyboard keys will work without any limitations. This is a hardware level restriction by Apple and applies to all OEM top case assemblies.

⚠ Color Specific Part

This top case is Space Gray and is only compatible with Space Gray MacBook Air units. It is NOT compatible with Silver or Gold A2337 models. This part is for the A2337 (M1, Late 2020) only and is NOT compatible with the A2179 (Early 2020 Intel model), the A2681 (M2, 2022), or any newer MacBook Air.

Condition

Grade A+. The aluminum palm rest is in like new condition with no scratches, dents, or wear marks. All keyboard keys have been individually tested and are fully functional. The Space Gray anodized finish is flawless. Open box. Never used in a repair.

This top case is compatible with the following device only:

• MacBook Air 13 Inch (M1, Late 2020) Model A2337, EMC 3598 in Space Gray

⚠ Important: NOT compatible with MacBook Air 13 Inch A2179 (Early 2020 Intel), MacBook Air M2 (A2681, 2022), MacBook Air M3 (A3113, 2024), or any 15 inch MacBook Air. The A2337 (M1) and A2179 (Intel) are different models with different top case designs despite both being 2020 releases. Please verify your model number on the bottom of your MacBook before purchasing.

Installation Notes

• Professional installation recommended. This is a full chassis swap requiring transfer of all internal components
• Transfer your existing battery, trackpad (with cable), logic board, fans, speakers, and I/O board from your current top case
• Disconnect the battery cable first before removing any components from your old top case
• Route the trackpad cable carefully under the battery bay. Pinching this cable during reassembly will cause trackpad failure
• Take care when seating the battery. The adhesive tabs must be aligned correctly for a secure fit
