EARLY ASIAN CHINESE INDIAN Stone bust

An early Buddhist bust being offered from a great estate collection.

I do not know a great deal about the bust.

I do not see any cracks or repairs chips or anything really wrong. It does have a rod with sticks out the bottom not sure if there was another base at one time.

We do believe it is several hundred years old. They appear to be carved of some type of stone, clay, limestone or sandstone.

This bust has some fine details as seen, and it is well done and very old.

The height is 9” tall x 4” wide. Please also see pictures for part of the description.

This is solid as a rock ...no loose pieces... it weighs 1 lbs. 13 oz. feels heavier than that.

It looks like some sort of headdress or some type of Indian ornament on the back of the Chinese head.
