While the engine swap seems to get all the love and focus of our project dollars, you can’t forget about what’s going to bolt up to that new engine and sit in the tunnel next to you. Even if you’re going to keep the stock transmission, many times an LS swap or adjustable engine mounts create enough setback that your stock transmission crossmember won’t work anymore. Even more to consider is when you drop the coin for that beefy six-speed manual or fancy electronic overdrive automatic to bolt up to your engine swap. Then you really need to start sharpening your pencil to determine correct driveline angle and how to support the transmission properly.

Gone are the days of spending hours cutting up a stock crossmember, massaging it with a grinder and a welder to make some crude affair to get you close. Forget all that and simply use our ingenious TorqLink™ bolt-in steel C10 transmission crossmember for 67-72 C10 pickups! We’ve designed this C10 crossmember to be universal transmission crossmember in nature to support most any manual or automatic transmission yet be a complete stress free bolt-in solution that will have your transmission properly supported and secured at the correct driveline angle in no time.

Mount Just About Any Transmission You Can Think of With Our Bolt-in Crossmember

Our TorqLink™ 67-72 C10 transmission crossmember is built in-house using 10 gauge steel that is laser cut and fully welded for strength and powder coated black for great, long lasting looks. The included frame boxing plates bolt to existing frame holes on your C10, so there is no grinding/slotting/drilling involved in installing them. The boxing plates can be inverted to provide a 1/2-inch in mounting height offset to get the perfect driveline angle. Slots in the boxing plates also allow for front-to-rear adjustment of the 67-72 C10 transmission crossmember as well to line up with your transmission’s tailshaft mounting pad/trans mount. This provides a bolt-in mounting solution for nearly any transmission application you can think of.

Premium 3/8-24 mounting hardware is included to install the crossmember with locknuts and washers to ensure your final mounting location stays where you put it. Our TorqLink™ fabricated C10 dual exhaust crossmember provides generous room for the routing of up to Shop 3-inch Exhaust Tubing tucked up nice and close for your exhaust installation to provide plenty of exhale ability for your C10 pickup’s engine no matter how low your C10 sits.

Summary: The got the kit to add a way to tuck the exhaust into the frame and upgrade the existing transmission crossmember. I have a SBC 350 and TH350 trans and this kit did not fit well for the application. The vacuum modulator got in the way of the crossmember and would require me to modify it to make it work. It is a great product and if i ever do an LS swap on it, ill definitely be using this crossmember.

Summary: Bought this for an LS swap I was doing on a friend's 68 Suburban and worked perfect so decided to see if it would work on my LS swapped 66 C10, worked great. I've used others but this by far was the cheapest in price and easiest setup. Bolts are a little tight to get to but other than that I'm happy with it.
