Notes on battery disposal
Batteries must not be disposed of in household waste.
You can either return used batteries that we carry or have carried in our range as new batteries to us at your own expense or return them to our shipping warehouse (shipping address) free of charge. Alternatively, you can hand in the batteries at the local collection points.
They are legally obliged to return used batteries as an end user so that the batteries can be processed or properly disposed of.
Old batteries can contain pollutants that can damage the environment or health if not properly stored or disposal. Batteries also contain important raw materials such as iron, zinc, manganese or nickel and can be used.
The symbols shown on the batteries have the following meaning:
The symbol of the crowded garbage can means that the battery must not be added to household waste.
In the case of batteries that contain a certain mass of lead, cadmium or mercury, the following additives under the symbol with the crossed -out garbage can refer to the respective pollutants:
PB = battery contains more than 0.004 mass percent lead
CD = battery contains more than 0.002 mass percent cadmium
HG = battery contains more than 0.0005 mass percent mercury
