The border is a white frame with a geometric ribbon of flowers on the vine in green, red and taupe, framed by a thin row of copper with repeating small tribal motifs in the remaining colors of the rug.  The binding is a playful and decorative element of the rug, with royal blue and cherry red alternating rectangles against the final pomegranate row of the border.
