This large entirely hand formed sculpture measures 15" high, 13" wide and 7" deep.

It is very substantial, weighs 18 pounds and sits firmly.

He is hand built from heavy tan colored clay and covered in an exotic thick classic white crackle glaze.

His head is turned to his right, inviting the viewer closer.

His hair is somewhat long and slightly tousled. Nude to his chest.

I cannot find a signature but this work of art is supremely well done in every respect.

Style is somewhat impressionistic though certainly realist, allowing the viewer to see what he or she wants. 

Not certain of date but dates to circa 1950, perhaps somewhat earlier towards the 1930s.

Also not certain of where he was made but I believe the United States as I found him in an antique store on the Oregon coast about 30 years ago.

He has been very well kept and is in very good vintage, antique condition. Carefully shipped.
