    The Great Northern Railway was an American Class I railroad.  Running from Saint Paul, Minnesota, to Seattle, Washington, it was the creation of the 19th-century railroad entrepreneur James J. Hill and was developed from the Saint Paul & Pacific Railroad. The Great Northern's route was the northernmost transcontinental railroad route in the U.S.

    These like-new, excellent extruded aluminum passengers were made in 1991 by Lionel Electric Trains and represents the "Empire Builder" service of the Great Northern Railway.   These cars come with manufacturers' original storage boxes that are in excellent condition.  These storage boxes have Styrofoam ends that protect the cars during transit and when not in use.  There are no scratches, scrapes or rubs anywhere on any car and they have very little track time for being almost 35 years old. I have taken the Vista Dome car out of its storage box for inspection and photo purposes only.  The previous owner has taken very good care of these cars over the years.  All original manufacturers paperwork is included.
