"Charles I.D. Looff was born in Denmark in 1852. He was known for carving large Coney Island style carousels on the East Coast, and moved to Long Beach in 1910. He had a factory on W. 6th Street, and built a merry-go-round and other rides at Long Beach's "Pike", a waterfront amusement area"(Token Catalog).

The token is made of aluminum and measures 38mm in diameter.
