Sales FAQ:

Q: I've added cards to my cart, but the discount isn't working (or isn't right) in checkout.

A: First, the deals above only apply to cards that are priced $2.50 or less. If you buy a $3 card and a $1 card, the buy 1, get 1 25% off deal would be triggered and the discount applied to the $1 card. If you buy 2 $3 cards, no deal would be triggered.

Next, be sure you're adding the right quantity. Buy 5, get 1 free means you buy 6 total. IE Buy 1, Get 1 Free deals mean you're "buying" two.

Next, be aware of how ebay is applying the discount.

For example, if you're buying 14 cards for $2 each ($28 total, or $20 after the discount), which would qualify for the buy 10, get 4 free deal, you may believe in the cart 10 cards should be $2 each and four should be $0. That's not how ebay applies the discount.

It will "spread" the discount over each card. So again, if it's 14 cards at $2 each, so $8 should be removed from the total, for a final price of $20. The deal will make each card ~$1.42 which equals $20 total over 14 cards.

This way, if I'm out of stock or there is a shipping error or some other problem, there is a value on every card which can be refunded. This is technically how most stores bill buy X, get Y free deals.
