This is an original press photo. Washington -- Released here 2/11, this is a picture of an early test model of the U.S. Army's Pershing missile, which is now in the research and development stage. One of the outstanding features of the weapon system is a new, mobile, transporter-erector-launcher which, in its tactical version, will permit Pershing to be transported to an unprepared site, erected and launched in a matter of minutes. The missile was shown to President Eisenhower during his tour of Cape Canaveral 2/10.Photo measures 7 x 9.25inches. Photo is dated 02-11-1960.
