Having collected London Shape cups and saucers for over 30 years, I have too many to display so I need to cull them! 

This is an antique tea cup and saucer which is marked with the turquoise/pale blue Copeland mark used between 1851 -95 on both cup and saucer - It is pre 1870 as it has neither the word England nor a date mark - I would date it to about 1865 when there was a revival of the London Shape.  The cup is London shape decorated with gilt in a floral and thistle pattern.  There is no damage but there is wear to the gilding.  A very lovely piece.
