The bike is still going strong today, in the year 2000 the AMA (American Motorcyclist Association) championship was again won on a Harley-Davidson XR750, this time the winning racer was Joe Kopp. A shake-up in the sport for 2001, which allowed 1000cc entries, presented a new challenge for the standard setting XR750, but its superior handling ability and proven reliability was often enough to beat the competition.
It is
a very nice non period photo that reflects a great era in Harley
