I have for sale this lovely Aquaprint Lithograph of the British Queen on her First Voyage from London to New York in 1838 on a choppy sea, port-view. The ship is shown using a mixture of sails and steam power. The British Queen was the largest passenger liner in the world from 1839-1840.
This print is in excellent condition and was purchased over 25 years ago from an art gallery in the Cotswolds and has taken pride of place in our lounge over that time. We are currently undergoing a house renovation and have decided that we would like some new art so have decided to sell this and the proceeds will be used towards that.
The print has been framed professionally and has a double mount with an antiqued gold/gilt wooden frame. The size of the print is as follows:
Width c. 83cmHeight c. 72cm
Aperture of print
Width c. 64cmHeight c. 51cm
I have a larger print which depicts The Great Western Steam Ship. Thank you for looking.
I also have another print for sale - if you wanted to purchase both both - we would sell them for £150.
