**Description:**  
Yucca filamentosa, commonly known as Adam’s Needle, is a hardy, evergreen perennial known for its striking, sword-like leaves and tall, dramatic flower spikes. It forms a rosette of stiff, blue-green leaves with curly, thread-like filaments along the edges. In summer, mature plants produce towering flower stalks (4–8 feet tall) with bell-shaped, creamy-white blooms that attract pollinators.

The flowers are pollinated by yucca moths (*Tegeticula spp.*), which have a unique symbiotic relationship with the plant.  

### **How to Grow from Seed:**  
1. **Seed Preparation:** Lightly scarify the seeds with sandpaper and soak them in warm water for 24 hours.  
2. **Sowing:** Use a well-draining soil mix, sow seeds ¼ inch deep, and keep soil moist.  
3. **Germination:** Requires warmth (65–75°F), taking 3–6 weeks.  
4. **Transplanting:** Move seedlings outdoors after they develop a strong root system.
