After being drafted by the California Angels in the 3rd round of the 1989 MLB June Amateur Draft from Grand Canyon University, Tim Salmon, the pride of Greenway High School in Phoenix, AZ, debuted w/ the Angels at Yankee Stadium on Friday night, August 21, 1992.

The following evening back at Yankee Stadium, on Saturday, August 22, 1992, Tim Salmon notched his 1st career hit in only his 2nd career game!
