1924 SALISBURY COUNTRY CLUB Member Golf Bag Medal; E Meadow NY; 1926 PGA, Hagen
Outstanding piece shaped as a golf bag, measuring a bit over 1-1/2" in length, from the Salisbury Country Club with the name of the club's founder JJ Lannin on the front of it.
Lannin was a real estate and hotel mogul who was also the owner of the Boston Red Sox when Babe Ruth joined the team in 1914. The Salisbury Club was developed in 1917 and by 1926 it was the site of the PGA Golf Championship won by Walter Hagen.
This medal was made by Lambert Brothers of NY and has the name S.C. Keener on it along with "169" which like was his or her gold club membership number.
