The SPL Parts NB Miata Tie Rod Kit is designed to correct bumpsteer by relocating the outer tie rod end pivot point using precision spacers. This minimizes dynamic toe change as the suspension compresses during cornering and over uneven surfaces, resulting in more predictable handling, improved stability, and reduced front tire shoulder wear—especially critical for track-driven and lowered Miatas.
This complete kit goes beyond standard outer tie rod upgrades by including new inner tie rods and stainless steel steering rack spacers, which increase steering angle for drift applications while maintaining proper geometry. High-quality FK PTFE-lined spherical bearings ensure smooth articulation, long service life, and maintenance-free operation.

SPL tie rod ends are not a significant contributor to NVH. In fact, by correcting bumpsteer on uncorrected vehicles, they often improve overall driving comfort and confidence.
Confirmed Applications
1999–2005 Mazda Miata (NB)
OEM Power Steering Rack only
Important Notes
OEM manual steering rack Miatas require a different SPL kit
Vehicles with a disabled power steering rack should still use the power steering version of this kit
