A J J Browne long sleeve, mock turtleneck Sweater, 100% Acrylic, made in USA.  Date unknown but based upon country of manufacture and fiber this sweater is late 1980s/early 1990s.

This pre-owned long sleeve, drop shoulder, stockinet stitch Christmas design Sweater has a ribbed stitch mock turtleneck.  Ribbed stitches finish the cuffs.  The hem is stockinet stitch.

This is a medium weight knit garment. The designs are knitted in.  Although the label says acrylic, the metallic green threads worked into the sweater may be lurex.

The sweater shows a little wear to the inside, especially where the yarns would have traveled and passed behind the white square with the candy cane.  The outside of the sweater has the usual acrylic pills and is soft with bright colors.  The sweater is black, true red, dark green and white.

When purchasing a vintage garment, or any garment, follow the measurements not the size. Size specifications have changed over the years and a vintage garment may have been altered to fit the original owner. Also, remember to leave ease between your personal measurements and the garment's. For example, a top that is 40" in the bust area will not fit a 40" bust...it will be tight. A 42" top will fit better.

Also a vintage garment was designed and cut to follow the body silhouette of its time period. For the best fit, undergarments from the same time period are suggested.

When purchasing a vintage garment please remember that it is old. I may have missed a fade or a flaw. I may have misjudged the year. I am happy to be corrected.

All garments are vintage items and sold...AS IS. I maintain a non-smoking, pet-free studio, but I have no control over where the items I offer for sale were previously. I attempt to represent my goods as honestly as possible, but sometimes something will get by. If you have any doubts about an item, e-mail me BEFORE YOU PURCHASE.
