Instructions:

1. Start by laying your fabric on a flat, heat-resistant surface such as an ironing board. Iron the area where you'll apply the patch to create a smooth, even surface. Do not use water on the iron or fabric. If you're attaching the patch to an item like a backpack, which might be harder to iron, try to flatten the specific part where you'll place the patch against a hard surface.

2. Position the patch exactly where you want it on the fabric, with the adhesive side facing down. Ensure that the patch is not tilted. The adhesive side is on the underside of embroidered patches.

3. Preheat your iron to the highest temperature suitable for your fabric. Make sure the steam setting is off and the iron’s water tank is empty.

4. Cover the patch with a thin towel to protect both the patch and the surrounding fabric from direct heat. Take care to keep the patch in place as you lay down the towel.

5. Place the heated iron over the towel-covered patch and press firmly for about 15 seconds, applying steady pressure to ensure the patch adheres well.

6. Remove the iron and let the patch cool. Peel back the towel and gently test the edges of the patch by trying to lift it with your finger. If the patch peels up, cover it again with the towel and reapply the iron for another 10 seconds to secure it properly.
