Hot Stuff is more than just ordinary header paint. This space-age blend of stainless steel and ceramic compounds is the ideal coating for cast iron exhaust manifolds! It withstands 2400F° (manifolds rarely exceed 1200°F). Only minimal preparation is required. Easily applied with a small brush or a rag. Coating heat-cures by simply running the engine for 10 minutes. Leaves a durable, raw cast iron appearance.
A 2 oz. container will do 2-4 exhaust manifolds on average. Not recommended for tube steel headers.

Summary: Worked well
Yes, I recommend this product.
Summary: It goes on best with a medium/soft toothbrush. It scrubs into the pores well and I had plenty left over after treating two manifolds and all the bolt heads with washers. Move quickly because it wants to set up in the jar. And keep it stirred for even looks. I let my manifolds air dry for two hours followed by an hour under the lid of my grill at 250 degrees to set it. They look GREAT and match the rest of my exhaust system.
Yes, I recommend this product.
Summary: Hot Stuff is easy to apply with a brush. It needs to be stirred during application because it starts to harden in the container. The color is a little more sliver than the original gray that was on the manifold.
Yes, I recommend this product.
Summary: Do all your prep work before applying. Dries fast
Yes, I recommend this product.
Summary: I purchased Hot Stuff manifold dressing to freshen up the manifolds on my all original numbers matching 1979 Camaro Z28. I have used this product before on my car and it held up very well (10 years). It was just time to clean them up a bit. Should be good for another 10 years...maybe longer. Best manifold dressing on the market.
