Up for find is an unusual Chalcedony Specimen from Mexico. I have seen these called “Geodes” but this one looks more like a “Bubble”! The specimen is hollow and has an opening with rounded “Lips” that make it look like nature blew a gas bubble in thick molten rock that burst but didn’t fully collapse. Chalcedony “Flowers” are relatively common from Mexico and other locations. These can range from nearly flat to hemispherical in shape. However I have never seen complete spherical “Bubbles” like these before.

This specimen is from the Charles Trantham dealer stock I recently acquired. The only documentation with the specimens was a card that said. “Chalcedony Geode. Sierra Madre, Chihuahua, Mexico”. I couldn’t find this location on mindat but Estacion Trancas, Aldama Municipality, Chihuahua, Mexico has very similar specimens. These specimens didn’t have any documentation with a date, so they could have been acquired any time in the last 50 years. It is possible these “Bubbles” were common many decades ago but have not been available since. If anyone has any additional information on these specimens please contact me.

Domestic Shipping
For domestic shipping I generally use Fed Exp Ground for heavier and more expensive items, and US Postal Service Priority Mail for lighter and less expensive items. Both services have door to door tracking and full insurance. If you have a shipping preference please let me know. If the shipping service I use costs less than eBay charges, I will refund any excess. I only charge actual shipping costs with no extra charges for packing or shipping materials and will gladly combine shipments. If the combined shipping doesn’t work for some reason, I will refund any excess shipping.

International Shipping
I use US Postal Service Priority mail for all international shipments. Please note that due to a lack of international flights, many overseas shipments are going by boat instead of air. This can add a month or more to delivery times. Purchase at your own risk.
