Pattern Flyer
Post WWII Fashions
September 1946

These stunning  "pattern flyers" are printed on newsprint and often had the name of a local pattern store printed which provided them.  These feature the newest dresses, blouses, evening gowns and more for the month they were featured.

Since they were released monthly you can use them to get a very specific dating. These flyers were given out free at the store.

They range from 8 to 32 pages. This one is 24 pages... lots fun to see here
Very Nice condition. No cutout or writing or tears.

There are holes which have been punched on the side and some minor stains at the spine from the glue when it was made.  I think they were probably stored in a binder.  :)  I can say the condition very nice for the age of the piece and it  is a lovely piece of sewing history.  Check the pictures for more detail

This highlights the fashion and patterns offered in September 1946.  It is a great look back at the fashions of the end of the WWII

Today you often see these catalogs turned into pins for Pinterest and content for Blog Posts.
