Condition ~ Acceptable. This very rare Book is more than 140 years old! There are some surface marks/scratches on the cover. The front cover is loose but still attached. The spine cover has a small piece missing on the top and there are some splits on the lower part of the spine cover (see photo). The name of a previous owner is neatly written in pencil on the top of the inside front cover and on the bottom margin of page 153 (see photos). There are some light stains on a low number of pages, the flyleaves, and the inside covers. There is a ghost mark from an old newspaper clipping (it is gone) on pages 210/211 (see photo). Otherwise this Book is in Acceptable condition!
