PragueArt showcases a collection of artwork by Ladislava Fruehaufova, a retiredillustrator and graphic designer from the City of a Hundred Spires - beautifulPrague in the Czech Republic.

PragueArt was started by Ladislava’s daughter, Anna, and her husband, Jared, who livein South Windsor, Connecticut.

Thegoal of Prague Art is to share a part of Anna’s European heritage with herfellow U.S. citizens, as well as the rest of the world, by offering her Mum’sartwork both locally and worldwide through local shops, art shows, and online.

Aboutthe Artist

Ladislava,or simply Ladka, studied at Hollar High School in Prague, which specializes inart.  She has worked for a Czechoslovakian magazine, “100+1 ZZ,” as agraphic designer and has also illustrated several books.

Ladka,is a great Mum and friend who experienced the hardships of Communism and breastcancer.  Painting and drawing have helped her cope with life’schallenges and bring her happiness.

Ladkagets her inspiration from everyday life, which she likes to mix with the worldof fantasy.  She is a huge animal and nature lover and is alsopassionate about cooking and baking.

People,animals, nature, angels and fairies, castles and European motifs are some ofthe many themes featured in Ladka’s paintings.  Her work fits intomany categories including fantasy and abstract.

Ladkacurrently resides with her husband, Jiri, and a Persian cat, Patsy, on theoutskirts of Prague in the Czech Republic where she continues with hercreations, both artistic and culinary.
