Silver is the 25th anniversary gift- this would be a perfect anniversary gift:)
These sparkling gems are so beautiful, they reflect more than diamonds! I've set them into pretty settings with tiny cubic zirconias. I've dropped them down from pretty hooks.
Care :
Store all you sterling silver jewelry in plastic baggies to slow down tarnish. If they do tarnish over time, these earrings can be dipped into silver cleaner and they will look brand new again.
Don't let your sterling silver jewelry come in contact with chlorine. It can permanently tarnish silver.
IMAGES
Please note that my items are photographed under LED lighting or outside on my back deck, so this is what the item looks like in natural light. I do not adjust color in the images. Please note that not all monitors show color the same way so there may be some slight difference in color.
Moissanite Facts:
#1. Moissanite Came from a Meteor!
Moissanite was first discovered in Arizona in 1893 by Noble Prize winning French scientist Henri Moissan. His first sample of Moissanite (named after himself) was found inside of a meteorite crater. While he initially thought he had found a diamond, he took his sample to the lab and discovered it was silicon carbide. Moissanite was born.
#2. Moissanite is More Brilliant than Diamonds!
The ability of a gemstone to reflect white light is known as its brilliance. How much light a gem reflects is its Refractive Index (RI). Moissanite is unique from diamonds because it reflects more light. Moissanite is also less likely to attract dirt and grime than a diamond and stays more brilliant between cleanings.
#3. Moissanite has Superior Heat Resistance.
Moissanite has heat resistance properties superior to many other jewels, offering the following distinct advantages for using Moissanite in fine jewellery:
Moissanite jewels can be cast in place, allowing the jewellery designer to offer innovative, exact-fit designs.
Moissanite jewels are less likely to experience heat damage during jewellery repair operations.
Moissanite jewels can survive the extreme temperatures found in typical house fires.
#4. Moissanite is Harder than Sapphires and Rubies
Stones are measured by hardness because the harder they are, the more difficult they are to scratch. Moissanite loose stones have a rating of 9.25 on the Mohs hardness scale.
#5. Moissanite is Conflict Free
Unlike mined jewels, Moissanite is absolutely conflict free, with guaranteed origin.
Many consumers are seeking a more socially responsible form of fine jewellery and appreciate the assurance Moissanite provides.
