These red L549 Lucas lamps are in brand new superb condition. The bases are chrome-plated brass, and are marked LUCAS L549 and MADE IN ENGLAND, unlike new reproduction lamps. These are the real McCoy, not reproductions. These lamps are very rare in this condition.

We have several pairs of these lovely NOS lamps, all in original Lucas boxes, but the boxes you receive may not be the same style as those shown in the pictures, as Lucas did alter their packaging design frequently over the years, and these lamps were manufactured from about 1954 well up into the 1980s.

This auction os for ONE PAIR, that is, TWO lamps, as shown in the pictures.

They were used on MGA 1500 and 1600, Bugeye Sprite, Morris Minor, Morgan, Triumph TR 2 and TR3 and even Jaguar D-types and XKSS, plus a host of other British cars in the fifties and sixties.

We even have a few of the ultra-rare AMBER L549 lenses in stock, made only from 1954 to about 1957, and commonly fitted to US-market Jaguars during that period.
