Featuring a polarized retroreflective optical function, it uses a white LED light source (400–700 nm) to ensure accurate detection of reflective and shiny surfaces while minimizing false readings from background reflections. With a sensing distance up to 400 mm, the sensor is suitable for both short- and mid-range applications. Its 100 µs response time and 500 Hz switching frequency allow for dependable performance in moderately fast-moving operations. The sensor supports PNP or NPN outputs, with both normally open (NO) and normally closed (NC) configurations for flexible integration. The IP67-rated housing, made of PBT and nickel-plated brass, along with a PMMA lens, ensures durability in harsh industrial environments. Operating on 10–30 VDC with low power consumption (≤ 35 mA), the S6R-5-M50-P is vibration- and shock-resistant, and performs reliably across a wide temperature range of -25°C to +55°C.
