Application Instructions

  1. Prepare the Surface:

    • Ensure the substrate is clean, degreased, even, stable, and uncracked.
    • For highly absorbent surfaces (e.g., fresh plaster) or unevenly absorbent areas, apply a suitable primer. We recommend PRIMACOL® DECORATIVE primer for its versatility.

  2. Step 1: Apply Decobase

    • Paint the surface with Decobase paint and let it dry completely. This base layer, in a color similar to the final effect, ensures the best result. Apply 2 coats of Decobase if needed and allow it to dry for a few hours.

  3. Step 2: Apply Silver Sand

    • Stir the Silver Sand paint thoroughly. For colored variants (Umbra 2, Umbra 40, Turquise 2, Turquise 40, Claret 2, Claret 40, Navy Blue 2, Navy Blue 40, Bottle Green 2, Bottle Green 40, Black 2, Black 40), add the colorant to the Silver Sand S0 base and mix well. Remember to stir occasionally during application.

    • Using a flat brush, work in small sections (approx. 1 m²) with the “wet-on-wet” technique. Apply the paint from the top corner of the wall, moving diagonally and making irregular, criss-cross brush strokes to cover the entire wall. You can also apply the paint horizontally or vertically for different effects.

    • Avoid returning to previously painted areas once they start to dry or performing touch-ups after the paint has dried slightly.

  4. Drying Time:

    • Allow the painted surface to dry completely for about 24 hours.
