The design of the Shimano XTR RT-MT900brake discs is a further development of the successful Ice-Technologies Freeza construction. While the improved weight reduction of 5 or 10 grams of the 180 mm discs represents a particular advance.
This effective heat management while braking is achieved by the sandwich structure (stainless steel - aluminium - stainless steel) improving braking performance and reliability. The result is first-class and consistent braking even in the most demanding conditions.
