Victor Vasarely : The artist paintings approach to abstract art.
Vasarely was born in Pécs and grew up in Piešťany and Budapest where he took up medical studies at Budapest University. He abandoned medicine to learn traditional academic paintings at the private Podolini-Volkmann Academy. Victor Vasarely became a graphics designer and a poster artist who combined patterns and organic images with each other in his paintings. Vasarely developed his style of geometric abstract art, working in various materials but using a minimal number of forms and colors.
Developing geometric abstract art (optical art): Finally, Vasarely found his own style. The overlapping development named after their geographical heritage.
."Every form is a base for color every color is the attribute of a form." Forms from nature were thus transposed into purely abstract elements in his paintings
Historically, the Op-Art style may be said to have originated in the work of Victor Vasarely (b.1908), and also from Abstract Expressionism. Vasarely wrote a series of manifestos on the use of optical phenomena for artistic purposes. Together with his paintings and Vasarely prints.
