Solopower SP1 60W CIGS Flexible Solar Panel 20V MC4 Rollable ETFE RV Camping

Solopower SP1 60W CIGS Flexible Solar Panel 20V MC4 Rollable ETFE RV Camping

The Solopower SP1 is a 60-watt CIGS (Copper Indium Gallium Selenide) thin-film flexible solar panel designed for portable and low-profile installations. Unlike conventional glass-substrate solar panels, the SP1 uses a flexible, rollable form factor with an ETFE top sheet encapsulation. At just over seven feet long and roughly 15 inches wide, it produces 20V at maximum power — well-suited for 12V battery charging applications. There is no peel-and-stick backing; the panel is secured by other means and remains very lightweight as a result.

Applications

CIGS thin-film flexible solar panels like the SP1 are used where conventional rigid glass panels aren't practical — curved or irregular mounting surfaces, weight-sensitive installations, and portable off-grid setups. The SP1's 20V output (Voc 31V) falls within the range suitable for charging standard 12V battery banks via a charge controller, making it a natural fit for RVs, camper vans, boats, cabins, and camping. It was originally engineered for residential and commercial building-integrated photovoltaic (BIPV) roofing applications, where its flexibility allowed it to conform to curved or standing-seam metal roofs without the structural load of glass panels. The rollable design and sub-5-pound weight make it easy to transport and store, expanding its appeal to overlanding, off-grid backup charging, and any application where a rigid panel is impractical. Solopower was one of the few US-based manufacturers of CIGS flexible panels; these SP1 units represent the final production run from their Portland, Oregon facility before it closed in 2016, and genuine new stock is no longer being manufactured.

Condition: Open Box
This Solopower SP1 60W CIGS Flexible Solar Panel is new and unused, sold as open box. It is one of the last panels produced at Solopower's Portland, Oregon factory before the company closed operations in 2016, making it a genuinely rare find. The panel and MC4 connectors show no signs of use or wear. These are new units from our remaining stock — once they're gone, they won't be available again. Please view our photos and contact us if you have any questions. Please note: We have multiple units in stock — yours may not be the one shown in the photos, however, it will be similar in condition and function.
