Chinese Gold Tone Metal Marble Seal 'Antiquity Brings Us Together' Plaque 2"W

This small commemorative gold tone metal & white marble Asian seal style plaque will make an excellent addition to your collection. It features what appears to be a scholarly style quote, possibly in Chinese, that appears to read "Antiquity Brings Us Together". The piece overall is a bit of a mystery to me as I couldn't find anything similar in my books or online. ITEM DETAILS:

  • Approximate weight is 6 ozs
  • Measures approximately 1" x 2" x 2"
  • Condition: In vintage pre-owned condition with wear including scuff marks, scratches, abrasions, worn off gold tone plated finish, pitting, patina, tarnish, dents, dings, chips on the corners of the marble base, discoloring, stains, lent/fibers, handwriting in pen on the cork backing, visible glue/adhesive, dirt, dust, grime, gunk, debris/residue and overall wear from handling and age.   • Origin: Unknown, but I am guessing Asia, possibly Chinese, but I couldn't confirm the language of the characters
  • Materials: Unknown gold tone metal with white stone base and cork style backing
