With the hit singles "Rydeen" and "Technopolis", and "Behind the Mask" later covered by Eric Clapton and Michael Jackson, it is regarded as a masterpiece of the early YMO that caused a social phenomenon boom. The members' red folk clothes-like costumes on the jacket and techno cuts that shaved off sideburns became an iconic visual image of techno pop. In 1980, it won first place in the Oricon Weekly and Annual Album Rankings, and became a million-seller, winning the Best Album Award at the Japan Record Awards that year. Even now, it boasts a presence as a masterpiece that remains in techno history.
