We are offering butted, stainless steel, 14 gauge spokes (2.0mm/1.8mm/2.0mm diameter) individually and increasing in value with increasing numbers. Spokes come in silver and black and are available in different sizes. This listing is for black spokes. We also sell separately on Ebay sets of black and silver plain gauge spokes and silver butted spokes.

Each spoke comes with its own same coloured, 12mm long, brass nipple; be aware that not all spokes on Ebay are offered with the nipple. We also sell a range of coloured nipples and alloy nipples from our Ebay shop. 

Butted spokes are stronger and have more spring and strength than plain gauge spokes, despite having a more slender middle section. For this reason they are the choice of those who want higher performance from their wheels. Wheels made from butted spokes will be livelier, stronger and more responsive to the terrain absorbing more shock than plain gauge.

Most of our spokes are Sapim, if we have run out of a size in this brand we will replace with another brand, Halo, Alpina, DT or Pillar, but we will not mix brands in your order. In each case these are high quality spokes.

Sapim black surface treatment

Black oxidation is a chemical process that transfers the first few micron of the stainless steel surface into a black layer. This method has the advantage of being done in a bulk process, which has a positive effect on the price and capacity (availability and delivery time).
