Original edition. After studying at the School of Decorative Arts in Paris, Emile-Allain Séguy became one of the most influential artists of the Art-Deco period, with a profusion of very inspired and very sophisticated creations. In 1913, he founded the artistic department of the Printemps department store, and from 1901, he published a whole series of portfolios of his artistic designs for wallpaper, fabrics and decoration, the two most famous of which are Les Papillons. and Les Insectes which gave him international notoriety.
