📜 Historical Significance
This original Grand Lodge certificate was issued by The Grand Lodge of Ancient Free and Accepted Masons of Canada (Province of Ontario) and is dated June 24, 1908. It documents the Masonic progression and elevation of Brother Ernest W. Cleland, including:
• Initiation: June 24, 1908 – Sussex Lodge No. 5
• Second Degree: September 21, 1908
• Third Degree: October 20, 1908
• Received into the Grand Lodge: January 18, 1909 – Hamilton
The certificate bears the official Grand Lodge seal, ornate period artwork, classical Masonic symbolism, and is signed by Augustus T. Freed, Esquire, Grand Master.
