This rug is made with fine craftsmanship and quality wool.  The allover geometric design is a hallmark of contemporary Oushak rugs, derived from antique Turkish Oushak designs that date back to the Ottoman Empire.   The series of five medallions that run down the center of the runner are like snowflakes, all hand-knotted in yellow, burgundy, navy blue, indigo blue, fruit punch and white.  The backdrop is light lime green with small tribal motifs in the open field that echo the medallions in style and colors.
