OTHERS are selling XWFE Without Chip - RFID ( Read their Titles ) . It means they will send you a counterfeit , and will ask you to take the old OEM label which contains the RFID and replace it with the counterfeit.

The only difference between the XWFE and the XWF is a chip on the back of the XWFE filter, which the newer GE refrigerators "use radio frequency identification (RFID) to "talk" to the fridge. The chip is used to detect leaks and let the refrigerator know whether it's a genuine factory product or not.

STAY away from titles that says Without Chip or that says to take the OLD OEM label and replace it with their COUNTERFEIT.

OEM means we KNOW what's in this FILTER,  but COUNTERFEIT we DON'T.

Also, the OEM will have a top CODE.

If you insert the counterfeit filter, you will see a RED error on your display and it will NOT run for water.
