Vintage wood base rotating old-world antique globe bookends

 

Previously owned, in perfect condition, as seen in the photos’

These world globe bookends are amazing to look at. They are very detailed and rotate freely. For home, library, or office decoration.

There is no sticker, but based on my research, and the maps (in Italian) themselves, they were made in Italy. The wooden bases were also routed to display an attractive groove surrounding the wood, which is uncommon in these pieces. Each bookend measures 5 7/8” tall, by 5 7/16” long, by 3 7/8” wide. The diameter of each globe is 3 ½”. The wood may be beautiful cherry, with a cherry or rosewood type stain. There are felt feet on the bottoms.
