Obverse of the medal: in the center, the image of the Bulgarian shield coat of arms with a crowned lion and the state royal crown on a background of crossed medieval swords. The entire heraldic military composition is framed by oak and laurel branches of the winners.

The reverse of the medal: the dates of Bulgaria's entry into the First World War in 1915 and the date of its end for Bulgaria in 1918. The entire composition is surrounded by a century of wheat, oak and laurel leaves and rose buds.

Band: the band is smooth, no markings, inscriptions or stamps can be traced.

Ribbon: moiré, triangular in shape, with the colors of the Bulgarian flag. The pure red field in the core of the ribbon is the designation of a participant who took a direct part in the war. On the back side of the tape, you can visually see the edged socket for fastening with a hook.
