Sold as single sleeves or in packs of 5 sleeves.
NB! We do not recommend installing heat shrink sleeves on racquets with removable grip pallets. Please get in touch if in doubt.
Mounting of the heat shrink sleeve requires a hairdryer or heat gun (a hairdryer usually works well with PVC sleeves), and a razor knife for trimming of the sleeve.
International orders: Import duties, taxes, and charges are not included in the item price or shipping cost. These charges are the buyer's responsibility. US customers: please get in touch to arrange shipment.
Installation instructions below (see also picture 3):
- Remove all grips on racquet and make sure the handle is clean. Cut the heat shrink sleeve to desired length, taking into account 5 mm overhang at the butt cap and a lengthwise shrinkage of around 18-24 mm when installation is complete. Alternatively, the sleeve can be trimmed after installation
- Slide the sleeve onto the racquet handle. Adjust the sleeve to have an overhang from the butt cap of around 5 mm (red arrow; this will ensure that the sleeve cannot move after installation)
- Using a hairdryer or heat gun, disperse the heat at the end of the sleeve (by the end cap) until the end of the sleeve shrinks to a tight fit. Make sure not to melt the sleeve and ensure overhang of the sleeve is kept (red arrow)
- Continue to shrink the entire sleeve using the hairdryer or heat gun
- If necessary, cut excess of the sleeve at the top of the racquet handle with a sharp knife, taking care not to damage the finish of the racquet
- Regrip racquet handle
