NOT A COMPLETE KIT - NOT A KIT AT ALL
The Carl Goldberg Shoestring Stunter is one of the most famous control-line profile models in history. Its copyright status is consistent with the other 1950s-era models you have explored: it is widely recognized as being in the public domain.
The legal status of the Shoestring Stunter is based on its original publication and the lack of a timely renewal:
Original Publication: The Shoestring Stunter (Kit G8) was released by Carl Goldberg Models in 1956.
Initial 28-Year Term: Under the 1909 Copyright Act, the initial protection lasted 28 years ($1956 + 28 = 1984$).
Renewal Failure: To maintain copyright for the full 95-year term, a renewal had to be filed in the 28th year (1984). While Carl Goldberg was a prolific businessman, his company did not traditionally file renewals for individual kit plans or instruction sheets from the mid-50s.
Trademark Status: The "Carl Goldberg Models" trademark was officially declared dead/cancelled in 2018 following the bankruptcy of Hobbico
