If you are looking for a quick, easy, safe, and natural way to stop ants from invading your hummingbird feeder look no further !  My elderly father makes the perfect solid copper ANT MOAT that only requires a few drops of any cooking oil. Just place about a 1/4 inch of your any cooking oil in the copper cup & place the moat between the hook & your feeder & Thats it !   ANTS CANT & WONT SWIM SO ONCE THEY REACH THE OIL THEY WILL TURN BACK UNHARMED, ITS JUST THAT SIMPLE..  Our ant moats are 4 inches long and about an inch wide please see pictures, they are made of solid copper so they wont rust or corrode & will last for many years ! 

PLEASE NOTE !  We suggest using cooking oil instead of water because water evaporates.
