The Invacare Shock Suspension/Gas Strut Set (MPN: 1142255) is a matched pair of heavy-duty hydraulic or locking gas cylinders engineered explicitly for the rear suspension assembly of Invacare TDX SP (Maximum Performance) and TDX SC (Sling Seat / Center Wheel Drive) power wheelchairs.

  • Component Function: Acts as the mechanical dampening backbone for Invacare's patented SureStep® Suspension and Stability Lock mechanism. 
  • Stability Lock Integration: These cylinders feature a one-way gas locking valve. If the powerchair's rear casters suddenly lift when tackling a curb or uneven slope, the shocks instantly rigidify to prevent the chassis from lurching forward, keeping the seat level.
  • Quantity: Sold as a set of 2 (Left and Right sides) to ensure balanced tension, consistent weight distribution, and uniform tracking.
