L-K Motel Family Restaurant Medina Ohio Multiview Cars Automobiles Postcard

L-K is a chain of motels and restaurants that existed from the late 1940s to 1989. L-K was founded by Cleo R. Ludwig and Robert Kibbey with the first location opened in Marion, Ohio. The chain had over 150 locations at its peak. The chain was owned by Consolidated Food Corporation between 1969 and 1986, before being sold back to the Ludwig family. In 1989, L-K sold off its remaining locations. Today, former L-K Restaurant and Motel buildings are still pretty ubiquitous around Ohio with their easy to recognize building designs.
