A Rare Antique Integral Kettle from a Wood burning Range or Stove. It's likely to be from a Barge, Boat or Narrowboat.
A lovely Convex Brass front with all of the internal hinden section being made of copper. It would make a lovely Architectural Feature if your could make it fit. It may have even been from a lower section of the chimney with it being convex, however there's no soot on it.
In 45 years I've never ever seen one of these before.
In expected used condition for an item of this age & nature. There are lots of dents & dints to the brass & the copper. I'm not sure it the stopper is slightly newer or if it's just the wooden stopper that's newer as I expect this would have been originally cork. The wooden handle's a little tatty but characterfull. It would allow the hot kettle to be poured without burning yourself from the handle.
It's approx 13 1/2" at its longest points from the corner to the tip of the wooden handle.
Please study the images as they also form part of the description & please do your own research.
